Welding group to add 10 jobs
SWS-Trimac Inc. (www.sws-trimac.com), a Michigan electron-beam and laser welding company, announced that it would build a research and development operation in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
The company plans to invest $1.2 million to construct a 20,000-sq.-ft. building by the end of this year in Ft. Wayne's Huguenard Industrial Park, where the company's existing sales and engineering office will be consolidated. The expansion will add 10 jobs, and the company will have 14 employees at the facility after the consolidation of operations.
Ft. Wayne is considering a tax abatement for real estate and personal property investments. Michigan is providing about $6,000 in training money, and tax credits of as much as $80,000 over eight years through Economic Development for a Growing Economy and as much as $25,000 over nine years through Hoosier Business Investment.
